Fall Break Day Two

So Deb we all wanted to go to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.....so we spent day two there....since a picture is worth a 1000 words......I'll save the words....

Fall Break Day One

It must of have been the FL sun.....I don't remember seeing any trees with this many ripe oranges!

 So for fall break (oh, back in October) we drove down to Orlando. Since we drove down after work on Friday and got in late, we decided to take it easy on Saturday. So in the morning we went to a citrus orchard to pick some oranges, grapefruit and key limes. It was hard to determine which ones were the perfect ripeness to pick (a lot where relatively green but ripened nicely by the time we got home and have been delicious!). Ended up freezing a good bit of key lime juice for making pies for a good bit! Just made one for Thanksgiving....yum!

Earlier today I was over at my parents with the kids, and Clarissa was trying to put on a witch's costume they had (she's at the age where she is starting to enjoy "dressing up"). I was having a bit of difficulty getting the costume on her - because you know 2 year olds make it so easy for you to get them dressed. After some struggling, she finally said to me "It's too hard for your daddy".

Why oh Why....

 So since back in oh, 2008, we got married and set up a website (which we have yet to really do anything with...on that to-do list....hey I did get the wedding album together this past summer, back off) we decide to link a blog to this website (totally makes sense!)....so here we go. We were thinking it would be a fun way to document the comings and goings of Richard, Deb, Mason and Clarissa (and maybe the occasional Yukon anecdote). We were also thinking it might be a tad easier for parents and other out of town family/friends to keep up with these previously mentioned comings and goings (and if a non-computer owning family member happens to be at a computer owning family members house it would be easier for them to show a blog then having to scroll through a ton-o-facebook posts (which we will probably continue making as well)). So for those previously mentioned family/friends....feel free to enter your email address to the right of the page and whenever some fun and witty thoughts come to mind and we post something it will arrive in your in box!! How fun!
